This month we are going to highlight a folder of Solution Articles listed on the IT Help Desk website. It will be in the side category for Office365 under the Outlook folder, titled How to Access Outlook from a Web Browser.
This article walks through how to sign in and access Outlook in a web browser. This can be used in addition or in place of the Outlook desktop app. Some benefits of using the browser version of Outlook are that it tends to update slightly quicker than the desktop version, which can be helpful if you are waiting on an urgent email or a verification email.
The last part of the article touches on how to open a shared mailbox, which is much easier to use than the desktop app for quickness and ease of use to have it separated from a regular inbox. The desktop app will also populate immediately, as opposed to having to wait potentially several hours for all emails and folders to fully populate in your desktop app for a certain shared mailbox.
