How to Block Senders in Outlook
If you are receiving emails that you do not wish to, you can block the sender by doing the following steps. This can be used as the first option to block senders, and if the emails persist, then you can submit a ticket asking for them to be blacklisted. *Note: if you wish to whitelist someone, or have their email never be blocked by our domain, you will still have to reach out to the IT Help Desk to accomplish that.
1. Open the Outlook app.
2. Go to the specific inbox that has the email you are looking to block the sender of. You can also search for the email in the top search bar.
3. Select the email that you do not wish to receive.
4. Right-click on the email and scroll down to the Junk section. Then, when more options appear on the right hand side, choose Block Sender. This way you will stop receiving emails from them as they will be blocked. *Note: Please do not block any of your co-workers, IT Help Desk staff, or anyone of importance that you need to communicate with.
