How to Change Your Password via Mobile Device
1. In a web browser, go to https://www.office.com
2. Click in the orange Sign in button on the left side of the page. Log in as normal. (If already signed in, skip to step 4)
3. If your password has already expired, it MAY will automatically prompt you to change your password when you login to Office 365. If not, please continue to the next step.
4. If you want to change your password before it expires, the circle in the top right corner, select your initials/profile picture button. Then select View Account.
5. On the My Account page, find side section titled Security Info and select it.
6. On the Security Info page, select the Change link by your password and type in your current password in the Old password section.
In the Create new password section type in your new password. The new password must be:
- minimum of eight characters
- Contains three of these character types:
- Uppercase, lower case, number, special character
- Not one of the previous ten passwords
- Does not contain the words Tweet, Garot, password, your name or username
Re-type the password on the Confirm new password box.
Select the Submit in box.
7. Once submitted, you have successfully changed your password.
*Note: You will have to update your password on any applications you are logged into on your computer or mobile phone (Teams, Email, OneDrive) to avoid being locked out.
**If you have a laptop, be sure to connect to the VPN with your new password, then sign out and sign back in with your new password to ensure you don't get locked out.
